Hours of Devours

Ice Cream Challenge

June 4, 2008 · 2 Comments

We had fun with our homemade ice cream last weekend, but it was not as much fun following recipes as it would be to use our imaginations. Therefore, we intend to develop some killer ice cream flavors during the hot months of summer.

Our children’s ideas are so interesting when they go on ecreamery.com. Nutty vanilla, with French vanilla and several kinds of nuts. Or a combo of birthday cake, vanilla and fruit.

We entered a contest once with the suggestion of peppermint ice cream laced with marshmallow. But we lost.

What would your favorite ice cream flavor be, if you were going to enter a contest? We caution you, however: If it sounds good, we may steal it!

I think brown sugar ice cream would be delicious. Sort of like caramel, but a different texture. Or a neopolitan blend, but just have various shades and richness of chocolate all in the same container.
